Hi,

The thing is, is that the community is flexible enough that should any update occur, we always adapt to it. Also, it may make you a little happier to know that Anet plans to continue supporting GW1 after the second comes out.

If you have played from the start you may have forgotten it then.

1. You needed to be more than half way through the game before you could change your secondary at all.

2. You needed refund points to respec.

Refund points were obsolete early on. Sure you had to ascend before you could change secondaries, but why go through the whole process when you can do a simple quest?

OHHHHHHHH! You mean like the SR changes and the Fast Casting affecting sigs? Thats right, you guys ALWAYS try to be as THOROUGH as you can be!

/end sarcasm

I am just wondering why these changes were not posted on the Guild Wars site. Are you afraid of player backlash, or of the new players visiting Guild Wars.com getting ready to sign up with an account to see all of the nerfs you have done?

If you guys really have done what you've said, props guys, that's some raw, hardcore dedication. Or a real bad habit.
i know a lot of ppl that have a lot of top Gvgers have tons of them for having more then 1 guild for testing and what not so they dont have to do it w/ the main guild and F*** up the rank a lot of players do this

lots of people have lots of accounts before you could bu ycharacter slots. i personally have 5 accounts but, after aNet decided to sell character slots, it basically nullified the need for so many accounts. kind of sucked for me.

porting to a town to change a profession was a pain in the butt especially when attempting to jump into a mission. along with porting to a town, you then had to reset your equipped skills, adjust your attributes, get back to the mission outpost, and try to rejoin your group. multiple accounts allowed players to have a slot for favorite builds which dramatically expedited helping guildies. sorry but, considering that i play GW with my real life friends who are now scattered all over the world, at the time it was worth the $40 to avoid that level of annoyance.

i suppose back then a lot of us probably had a notebook full of builds, too. being able to save builds was a huge step in the right direction and saved a lot of time.

unlike a previous poster, i dont rely on any one specific secondary profession. i change secondary professions to adopt a build that my experience has proven successful in a given area.

when they introduced the store and character slot upgrades and then the build templates, it basically made 4 of my accounts useless. if only i had known, i would have saved the money. now all the characters on my 4 extra accounts are used for expanded storage (because aNet doesnt provide sufficient storage for all my junk) and as placeholders to expedite jumping guilds in my alliance without having to rely on someone in one of those guilds to invite me.

i, too, would love the opportunity to merge these accounts into one account. my biggest concern is that aNet will eventually nerf trading customized items, resulting in many customized items being stranded on an account the associated character doesn't exist in.

You fail? There have never been "entire characters" nerfed.
